About the Author
Cars have always interested me. From a very early age, I was known as the family petrol head. I'm pretty certain my first words were "Alfa" and "Romeo," promptly followed by "engine" and "horsepower." I've been told that as a young lad I would name every car on the way back from town on a Saturday, and would pester whoever I was with for the names of the unfamiliar ones. It was irritating apparently. As I grew older, this somewhat irritating interest developed into a passion when I began learning about the mechanics of cars.

At the age of 15 I got my hands on my current project, a 1993 Rover Mini Sprite (affectionately named Roxy) which I promptly proceeded to pull apart on my parent’s driveway. So far it's been a monumental task. She was a non-runner when I bought her, the front valence was hanging off, the engine leaked and the paint was faded. Despite the extensive list of foibles, she's getting there. The Haynes manual is my bible and I've done the majority of the work myself.

This site exists as a platform for me to share my thoughts on the motoring industry, as well as keeping anyone who's interested updated on Roxy's state of repair. Please, feel free to send feedback and questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

Cheers,
